Legacy Giving

Legacy Giving

Including First Congregational United Church of Christ in your estate planning is one way to ensure that the spiritual community you treasure will be a treasure for future members and participants and a blessing to the larger community.

Remembering First Congregational UCC

When you remember First Congregational United Church of Christ with a gift from your estate, you cast your influence into the future to preserve what we love about our congregation’s mission and ministry.

Your gift will sustain:

  • A progressive community of faith in the Christian tradition
  • A commitment to spiritual formation for all ages
  • Thoughtful, heartfelt worship
  • Social Justice, Community Outreach, and Hands-On Mission
  • Excellent music with diversity of styles
  • A progressive, God-centered voice on issues facing our community
  • A place where ‘Everyone is Welcome” is part of our DNA and not just a
    slogan.

Leave a gift in your will:

  • Designate a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate
  • Already have a will? No problem! Revisions to current wills can be made with a simple modification called a codicil.
  • Your legacy gift should be designated to the First Congregational UCC
  • Endowment Fund. Click here for examples of words that might be used in your will to make this designation.

Establishing Your Gift is Easy:

  • Your attorney, accountant or financial planner can help you with specific arrangements. Then complete the Bequest Confirmation Form and send to the church office (221 7 th Av W. Alexandria. MN 56308) or office@firstcongregationaluccalex.com or phone at (320) 763-3341 to report you’re your decision to the church.
  • The specifics of your gift will be kept confidential.

What came to us as seed may go to the next generation as blossom, and what
came to us as blossom, may go to them as fruit.
