ANNOUNCEMENTS: Pastor Jill
POURING THE BAPTISMAL WATER: Pastor Jill
*CALL TO WORSHIP: Micki Schneider, reader
One: The foolish say, “There is no God! We are alone, on our own.”
Many: We gather to declare the glory of God in our lives.
One: The foolish say, “It is your life; you are accountable to no one.”
Many: We gather, strengthened by the Spirit, trusting that Christ dwells in our hearts.
One: The foolish say, “Everything I have is mine; I owe nothing to anyone.”
Many: We gather to praise the One who calls us to serve others in love.

*OPENING HYMN “O God, We Bear the Imprint of Your Face” Blk#585 vs 1-3, melody Finlandia Blk #591
*PRAYER OF CONFESSION AND WORDS OF ASSURANCE (From Psalm 14, Responsive) Micki
One: Let us pray.
Many: God of mercy and truth, we have strayed from you in thought, word and deed. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have disregarded what is holy trying to satisfy ourselves by our own means. We have not loved our neighbours as ourselves, and we have not heard the cry of the needy. Forgive us.
One: O God, who is a God like you, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness?
Many: Be our refuge and our deliverance by the presence and power of your Spirit, change us so that we may delight in your desire to do justice; in Jesus’ name. Amen
